Details about our product types

Bareroot roses. These are plants in their dormant state which are delivered between November to the start of April. Note any purchases made outside these times will be dispatched the following November. Stems are approximately 6 to 12 inches long. All roses are freshly lifted from our field just prior to despatch and packed in wax-lined waterproof sacks. Every rose will have its own descriptive colour label and each order will include a guide on how to grow roses.

Potted roses These are planted in 4.5 litre containers with peat free compost. Each potted rose will arrive in a cardboard box. The size of the plant depends on the time of year, we will aim to send roses just in bud or flowering. If the rose has flowered, it may be dead headed (cut back) to encourage new growth.  Each rose will come with its own descriptive colour label and each order will include a guide on how to grow roses.
