NEW BAREROOT ADDITIONS 2023

To purchase now for bare root season November 2023 to March 2024.

Peach Melba is an award winning apricot/pink fragrant climbing rose.

Peach Melba winner of Rose of the Year a brand new climbing rose from Kordes.

Trevor is exited to annouce his own introduction ‘Firth of Forth’.  Discovered on a trip to visit his daughters in Ediburgh, this pimpinellifolia rose is a native to Scotland. It has a subtle pink veins and a warm delicate fragrance. He hopes it is unique enough to be its own subspecies.

This year we have three Old Roses returning to the U.K market. Firstly ‘Queen of the Musks’ as you may have guessed by the name joins our Hybrid Musks. A very prolific performer with tons of scented blooms. Rosa wardii ‘Culta’ has been saved from decirculation, often known as ‘White Moyesii’. We also have the bush form of Ophelia; set to be as popular as the Climbing version, one we have been growing for many years.

New to the British market this year are Meilland’s ‘Milky Romantica’ and ‘Peter’s Persica’. The latter being the culmination of years of breeding by Chris Warner, his first Persica Climbing rose. Meanwhile we continue to sell ‘Peach Melba’ (2018) the winner of  Rose of the Year 2022. We have found it to be very healthy and has very strong growth, this is also avaliable Potted this year.

Our Pheno Geno collection has expanded a little further to include three ‘Fragrant Frayla’ roses ‘Audrey’, ‘Maisie’ and ‘Layla’. All as beautiful as their names. The striped rose ‘Valentina’ also comes from their range of roses that are good for cutting, interesting colours on this one!

The rest of our additions are highly requested roses, one being  ‘Earth Angel’, a stunner with huge globular blooms, it may need a sunny position to really perform. ‘Chris’, a well regarded yellow climber, a rare find in this category. Plus the celebrated ‘Don Juan’, seen as a staple in a lot of American gardens.
