What is a potted rose?
Our potted roses are available all year round, they are planted in specially prepared peat-free compost containing controlled release fertiliser. All are 2 year old plants, so will flower in their first season.
How will they arrive?
Each rose will arrive in a decorative cardboard box, accompanied with their own descriptive colour label and growing booklet.
From November to March they will have no leaves. In April and May, new buds are emerging, please note some varieties will be slower at producing these but by late May you should see substantial bushy growth in all varieties. Between June and July our aim is to send roses just in bud or flowering. If the blooms have expired, stems may be dead headed (cut back) to encourage new growth.
Can I add a personalised message to my order?
Yes once you have added the variety to your cart and you have proceeded to checkout, there is box to fill in a special message. We are aware many of our roses are sent as gifts, so invoices and payment details are forwarded to your email only, not within the parcel.

Jenny's Rose has pretty soft pink, semi-double blooms set against glossy dark green, healthy foliage. With a lovely fragrance, upright habit and good disease resistance, it was awarded the Gold Medal at Glasgow in 2001. Size: 120 x 80cm. -
Rosa banksiae 'Purezza' (A.k.a. Lady Banks Rose) has exquisite semi-double, creamy-white sprays of blooms. Requires sheltered and sunny wall, and needs minimal pruning. Thornless stems, bare tiny thorns on petioles. Supplied on own roots. Size: 14ft x 10ft. -
Warm Welcome is a stunning miniature climbing rose which has a vibrant display of small but vivid orange semi-double blooms, often borne in small clusters. It has good repeatability – flowering from summer right through to the first frost – with beautifully contrasting dark foliage and stems. Size 230cm x 150cm. -
Pompon des Princes (a.k.a. Ispahan) has clear pink, deliciously fragrant double blooms which flower throughout the summer. Scrolled in the bud, opening quartered with a green button eye. Size: 1.5m x 1.2m. -
Chris is a large flowered climbing rose. Its Hybrid-Tea shaped blooms are sweetly scented and slightly orange tinged in bud, before opening with creamy yellow flowers. A splendid display from June to the first frosts. Size 350cm x 200cm. -
Lorraine is a bushy shrub rose with delicious scent and handsome foliage. Very healthy, with plenty of petals in apricot blends of pink and orange. Size: 120 x 100cm. -

Amelia (Damask) has pale pink sweetly scented blooms, with ruffled petals surrounding a yellow eye. It can be a tall shrub once established, and is ideally grown in a mixed border. Summer flowering. Size: 1.5m x 1m. -
Olivia has deep orange - almost coral coloured - blooms. Flowers are large and often form clusters. It has a handsome upright shape with healthy foliage, and a deep sweet fragrance. Enjoys strong healthy growth. Size: 120cm x 150cm. -
Berries 'n' Cream is a well regarded striped climbing rose which has a contained habit, and a strong apple-like fragrance. It can do well on a small wall or fence, but given time and space it can grow to up to 15 feet. Almost thornless. Size: 2m x 1.5m. -
The Award-winning climbing rose Peach Melba is smothered in colourful blooms of apricots and pinks, almost like large scoops as its name suggests. Zephirine Drouhin is one of the classic old roses and often classed amongst the Bourbon roses. Loosely formed semi-double blooms of cerise. Very strong fragrance. Flowers profusely from June-December. Stems have no thorns. Best grown on pillar or open site. Eventual size:3.0m x 2.4m. -
