Listed here are roses with good for cutting, these include mainly repeat flowering roses which flower on single stems. Ideal to use for display from June, to (if you’re lucky) Christmas Day. We have not listed once flowering old-fashioned cultivars, as the opportunity for use will be limited once in June, although they do make marvellous vase displayed, even early April-May if you use some Species Roses.
Preparation
Cut stem ends at a sharp angle, revealing the pithy stem centre that takes up water. This increase of surface area is crucial for drinking. Dip the ends in boiling water for 20 seconds, before giving them a long drink in tepid water.
