What is a potted rose?
Our potted roses are available all year round, they are planted in specially prepared peat-free compost containing controlled release fertiliser. All are 2 year old plants, so will flower in their first season.
How will they arrive?
Each rose will arrive in a decorative cardboard box, accompanied with their own descriptive colour label and growing booklet.
From November to March they will have no leaves. In April and May, new buds are emerging, please note some varieties will be slower at producing these but by late May you should see substantial bushy growth in all varieties. Between June and July our aim is to send roses just in bud or flowering. If the blooms have expired, stems may be dead headed (cut back) to encourage new growth.
Can I add a personalised message to my order?
Yes once you have added the variety to your cart and you have proceeded to checkout, there is box to fill in a special message. We are aware many of our roses are sent as gifts, so invoices and payment details are forwarded to your email only, not within the parcel.

Jenny's Rose has pretty soft pink, semi-double blooms set against glossy dark green, healthy foliage. With a lovely fragrance, upright habit and good disease resistance, it was awarded the Gold Medal at Glasgow in 2001. Size: 120 x 80cm. -
Rosa banksiae 'Purezza' (A.k.a. Lady Banks Rose) has exquisite semi-double, creamy-white sprays of blooms. Requires sheltered and sunny wall, and needs minimal pruning. Thornless stems, bare tiny thorns on petioles. Supplied on own roots. Size: 14ft x 10ft. -
Warm Welcome is a stunning miniature climbing rose which has a vibrant display of small but vivid orange semi-double blooms, often borne in small clusters. It has good repeatability – flowering from summer right through to the first frost – with beautifully contrasting dark foliage and stems. Size 230cm x 150cm. -
Bridget (a.k.a. Birthe Kjaer) is a rich red shrub rose with a sweet and strong perfume. Blooms are large and packed full of petals. It has a narrow but bushy habit. Would prefer space at the back or middle of border. Size: 120 x 100cm. -
Amelia (Damask) has pale pink sweetly scented blooms, with ruffled petals surrounding a yellow eye. It can be a tall shrub once established, and is ideally grown in a mixed border. Summer flowering. Size: 1.5m x 1m. -
Berries 'n' Cream is a well regarded striped climbing rose which has a contained habit, and a strong apple-like fragrance. It can do well on a small wall or fence, but given time and space it can grow to up to 15 feet. Almost thornless. Size: 2m x 1.5m. -

Creamy blooms with bright yellow stamens are produced very freely on this superb climber. With its healthy dark green foliage, City of York can be grown in most aspects, such as a north or semi shaded wall. Size: 4.5m x 3m. -
The Award-winning climbing rose Peach Melba is smothered in colourful blooms of apricots and pinks, almost like large scoops as its name suggests. Its shorter stature make it ideal for smaller walls or even container growing on patios. Repeat flowering, and Winner of Rose of the Year 2023. Size: 2m x 1.5m. -
Layla, a.k.a. 'Isidora', is an exceptional repeat flowering shrub rose, with magnificent golden-yellow, open cupped flowers on long stems. Oakmoss, amber and sandalwood notes create a fresh, pleasant woody scent. Smooth foliage in pale green. Size 90cm x 70cm. -
Mia has lightly nodding branches, full of peachy coloured flowers. It is suitable for middle of the border and mixes well with other light coloured plants. Blooms are cup-shaped with a lovely apricot fragrance. Very healthy. Size 100cm x 80cm. -
Hallie (a.k.a. 'Draga') has intensively recurrent blooms, producing wave upon wave of scarlet petals. Its large, wavy flowers have delicate, musky notes and delightful white stripes before opening. It has dark green, disease-resistant foliage and a low bushy habit. Size 90cm x 60cm. -
Golden Wedding is a compact shrub which produces large golden-yellow blooms. With perfectly shaped double flowers and deep green and glossy foliage, it is a stunning addition to any garden. It also has excellent disease resistance. Size: 90cm x 80cm. -
Hot Chocolate is an unusual rose with fragrant russet-brown, ripple-like blooms and a darker reverse. It has a strong upright habit, healthy foliage. Its striking colour makes Hot Chocolate an excellent addition to floral displays. Size: 110cm x 60cm. -
Patio climber. White/ white blend. Mild, wild rose fragrance. 20 to 25 petals. Average diameter 2.75". Small to medium, full (26-40 petals), in small clusters, cupped bloom form. Continuous (perpetual) bloom throughout the season. Size 2m x 1m. -
Pretty Jessica has large perfectly formed rich pink blooms which are fully double and cupped. Rich old rose fragrance. Repeat flowering. Medium sized compact shrub. Good for a patio container or planted in a mixed border. Size: 120cm x 100cm. -
Silver Anniversary has beautiful Hybrid-Tea shaped blooms. Its petals are of the purest white with hint of pale lemon. A medium sized bush with deep green foliage. Performs its best in a sunny sheltered position. Delicate sweet fragrance. Size 140cm x 100cm. -
