What is a potted rose?
Our potted roses are available all year round, they are planted in specially prepared peat-free compost containing controlled release fertiliser. All are 2 year old plants, so will flower in their first season.
How will they arrive?
Each rose will arrive in a decorative cardboard box, accompanied with their own descriptive colour label and growing booklet.
From November to March they will have no leaves. In April and May, new buds are emerging, please note some varieties will be slower at producing these but by late May you should see substantial bushy growth in all varieties. Between June and July our aim is to send roses just in bud or flowering. If the blooms have expired, stems may be dead headed (cut back) to encourage new growth.
Can I add a personalised message to my order?
Yes once you have added the variety to your cart and you have proceeded to checkout, there is box to fill in a special message. We are aware many of our roses are sent as gifts, so invoices and payment details are forwarded to your email only, not within the parcel.

A magnificent rambler. Fully double quartered blooms of creamy white. Lemon tints. Clothed in dark green glossy foliage. Good scent. Summer flowering. Size: 4.5m x 3m. (Alberic Barbier). -
A deservedly famous rambler. Large flowers,salmon in the bud opening coppery pink. The glossy foliage and rich scent add further appeal. Summer flowering. Size:4.5m x 3m. -
Alchymist has large full quartered blooms of yellow and yolky orange, sometimes tinged with pink. Strong grower. Does well in difficult situations. Scented. Summer flowering. Height: 3.6m x 2.4m. -
Alexandre Girault has large full quartered blooms of reddish pink, with hints of yellow. Apple fragrance. Very pliable stems with polished foliage. Good versatile rambler, it can be used in many situations. Summer flowering. Eventual size: 4.5 x 3.0m. -
a.k.a Mousseline. Semi-double cupped blooms of blush pink. A neat compact well-foliated bush. Light moss. Perfumed. A continuous flowering June until October. Size 1m x 1m. -

Amelia (Damask) has pale pink sweetly scented blooms, with ruffled petals surrounding a yellow eye. It can be a tall shrub once established, and is ideally grown in a mixed border. Summer flowering. Size: 1.5m x 1m. -

Belle de Jour is a superb Floribunda rose. Heady fragrances of vanilla and apricot. Warm yellow blooms with tinges of orange. Winner of many accolades including Rose of the Year 2021. Superb disease resistance. Excellent rose for floristry. Size 1.2m x 1m. -
Fully double quartered blooms, lilac pink on the edges with deeper pink centres. Dark green foliage. Grown by Empress Josephine at Malmaison but a rarely seen today. Summer flowering. Size: 1.2m x 1.0m.
