John Bentall & Family (England 1929 – 1970s)
The Bentalls were the nurserymen of the great breeder Rev Joseph Pemberton. After Pemberton’s death, they continued introducing Hybrid Musks. Their legacy can be summed up in the wonderful apricot cultivar ‘Buff Beauty’.

Pointed Apricot buds open to a soft creamy yellow semi-double display. Abundance of late flowers. Dark green healthy leathery foliage with few thorns. Good in borders as well as for hedging. Repeat flowering. Size: 1.2m x 1.4m. -
Clusters of small pale pink flowers with a white centers. Very floriferous. Small red hips in the autumn. Long flowering season. Slight scent. Size:1.2m x 90cm. -
Beautiful clusters of apricot yellow full blooms. Dark green arching foliage. Good scent. Repeats well. Spreading growth makes it ideal for a large border. Size: 1.2m x 1.4m. -
Cottage-styled blooms of deep pink, expand eventually to pale pink. Delightful mixed sweet and musky fragrance. Smaller flowers than 'Prosperity', but neater habit. Size: 120cm x 100cm. -
Masses of small double pink flowers produced on a healthy spreading shrub. Perpetual flowering. Good for massed effect or even ground cover. Size:60cm x 1.4m.
